Arrival In Thailand

Your arrival in Thailand should be easy to arrange. Thailand is served by a total of over 80 international airlines landing mainly in Bangkok, but also an increasing number of international flights arrive in Phuket, Chiang Mai and Hat Yai. Domestic airlines have also grown in number and all have connecting flights to Bangkok and at least one other destination.

The majority of tourists who visit Thailand will arrive by air. A small percentage of travelers enter Thailand by land. The Thailand immigration guidelines are the same whether you arrive by air or by land.

Make sure you fill out your arrival card before you disembark from the plane. If the flight attendant does not give you a card for each family member, please request them before your plane begins its descent. It is much easier to fill them out while sitting down on the plane, than trying to find a place to write in the arrival hall of the airport. Filling them out in advance is even more important if you are traveling with infants or toddlers.
