Attractions In Thailand for your FamilyAttractions in Thailand which are family oriented are everywhere. Each major city has its unique family vacation spots which cannot be covered in depth on this page. View the following pages to find Thailand attractions in the city which you plan to visit. BangkokBangkok is perched on the Gulf of Thailand. This capital city is a great place to spend some time with your family. I recommend you plan to visit the beaches in the south and/or the mountains in the north as well. But since you will most likely be arriving in Bangkok to start your Thailand family vacation, do not miss your chance to experience all that Bangkok has to offer your family. More Bangkok Attractions Chiang MaiChiang Mai is home to Thailand's highest mountain. There are many things to see and do in and around the "Rose of the North." Plan to spend several days in Chiang Mai. There are attractions for everyone in your family. Chiang Mai is much smaller than Bangkok and the atmosphere is much more relaxing. The cost of living is less than Bangkok and it is just a great place to visit. It is also a great place to live. More Chiangmai Attractions Hua HinHua Hin is our favorite place for a family beach vacation. It sits on the Gulf of Thailand and the surf is very calm when compared to the Andaman Sea in Phuket and Krabi. It is growing, but still has a small town feel. Hua Hin is a great beach for toddlers. If your children are older, they may prefer the beaches in Phuket, as the waves are much bigger. More HuaHin Attractions Nong KhaiNong Khai is best known as a gateway into Laos. Vientiane, the capital of Laos, is just 25 km away. There are not many attractions in Nong Khai, but it is a great place to experience small town life in Thailand. If you add Nong Khai to your travel itinerary, you definitely must make the trip into Vientiane as well. More Nong Khai Attractions KrabiKrabi is becoming a popular destination for a beach vacation in Thailand. If you are looking for an adventurous vacation which includes sea kayaking, scuba diving and rock climbing, then your family must spend some time in Krabi. Ao Nang is the main tourist beach, but there are plenty of places to stay which are a bit more secluded. More Krabi Attractions PhuketPhuket is an island known as the "pearl of the south" and has a huge choice of resorts from three to five star. The scenery is beautiful and diverse and the attractions are many, including the spectacular limestone scenery of Phang Nga Bay, the idyllic Phi Phi Island, elephant rides, canoeing, rock climbing and horse riding. More Phuket Attractions Ubon RatchathaniUbon is the southernmost province in Northeast Thailand or "Isaan" as it is known in Thailand. The area is very flat and most of the land is used to grow rice. If your family is looking for a Thailand vacation which goes beyond the typical tourist spots, than Ubon is the place to visit. More Ubon Attractions |
